About
Our Community
We believe we are better together. Our vision for our community is to create a warm, friendly, accepting environment where people of all ages and all people from all walks of life can grow up into their full potential in Christ.
Our Core
We are excited about following Jesus. We unreservedly and whole heartedly know that Jesus makes every difference in every aspect our lives and in the world. We love sharing this great news with those around us.
Our Call
We are not called to woo you with a fancy website. Our call is to be genuine, authentic and sincere followers of Jesus being salt & light in this world. And having a lot of fun with each other along the way!
About Us
In 1939, eight people began meeting in Eden Hills, Adelaide – the birthplace of our church. By all accounts they were just ordinary people. In 1959 the church built its first building in Bellevue Heights.
From the very beginning, our church has a strong history of community involvement, children and youth programmes, and a global vision.
In 2004, we moved to a larger facility in Blackwood and became Blackwood Hills Baptist Church, enabling us to become a 7-day-a-week church. This was a substantial step of faith and characterises the sacrificial and generous, faith-filled and risk-taking people who make up our Church.
We gather to:
Celebrate God’s presence,
Communicate God’s word,
Demonstrate God’s love,
Educate God’s people and,
Welcome people into the family of God.
There is so much more to our church, its ministry, its people and it’s leaders than you’ll find here, so check us out on YouTube, or better still come join us this Sunday!

“It’s incredible what ordinary people can do when they trust an extraordinary God.”
